Listening Resources
In 2007, at the annual assembly of the New England Synod, Bishop Margaret G. Payne introduced Called to Listen, Called to Live as the theme for the next five years of our life together as a synod. “It’s not easy to listen deeply,” Bishop Payne noted, as she invited the synod to join her in a five-year effort of holy listening, beginning with the 2007 synod assembly and running through the end of her second term in 2012.
