The 25th annual New England Synod youth campout is scheduled for September 5-7. This will definitely be one of the best events ever! Built around the theme of "Catch the Wave" this year's program will feature some exciting new guests, a blend of new and familiar program activities, and some fantastic music by Dakota Road. Don't forget this year's Hammonasset T-shirt. This 25th anniversary event will terrific! Register now!

The annual "Hammonasset weekend campout" is a major youth event, typically attracting some 700 high school aged youth from Lutheran churches throughout the New England Synod. Held at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison, CT, participants and their advisors enjoy a blend of structured program activities centered on a designated theme. The program includes hands-on activities, worship, music, prayer, thought provoking discussions, witness, free time, organized games, meeting old friends and making new friends.

This year's theme is "Catch the Wave." Waves and water evoke many emotions. Waves can have frightening power. They can offer soothing calm. We encounter many waves in our lives; some we let pass, others we decide to ride. Some waves look good when we first see them but change as they get closer.

• What kinds of waves come our way?
• Which waves should we choose to ride?
• What do we do after the wave hits the shore?
• Which waves would God want us to ride?

These are some of the questions we'll explore at Hammo XXV - 2003. We have an excellent program prepared, which is just one of the reasons this will be such a great event.

Registration ends June 30th, so get your youth group organized and plan to be at Hammonasset in September. Sites fill up fast and are limited in number, so register early to guarantee a site!
